Marathoners really are the wrong people to mess with. Not only are we endurance runners who can persevere through any obstacle but we have one of the strongest communities that come together during both good and bad times. I am so proud to be a New York Road Runner as this weekend I will run the City Parks Foundation Run in Central Park that will honor those affected by the horrible tragedy at the Boston Marathon and the horrific, on going events in Boston. We will be honoring those of Boston with a moment of silence before our race. The NYRR’s have also made “I Run for Boston” back bibs that we can wear during the race to help support. They will be selling “I Run for Boston” T-shirts where 100% of the proceeds go to benefit The One Fund Boston.
